This Privacy Policy explains how Astute Management, trading as Kent Readymix (“Kent Readymix”, “we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses and protects personal data when you use kentreadymix.co.uk (the “website”) or contact us to arrange ready-mix concrete.
Kent Readymix is a lead-generation service. We do not supply, batch or deliver concrete ourselves. We pass the enquiries you submit to an approved concrete supplier operating in your area, who contacts you directly to arrange your quotation, delivery and payment. This policy covers the personal data we hold before that point, and what we tell approved suppliers when we pass your enquiry to them.
Who we are
The data controller for personal data collected through this website is Astute Management, trading as Kent Readymix, of Alva House, Valley Drive, Gravesend, Kent, DA12 5UE. You can contact us about any data protection matter at hello@kentreadymix.co.uk.
What personal data we collect
We collect personal data that you provide directly, through the enquiry form, by WhatsApp or by email. This typically includes:
- Your name
- Your email address and/or telephone number
- The postcode or address of the site where concrete is needed
- Details of the pour: what is being poured, an estimate of the volume, and site access information such as approach width or standing space for a vehicle
- Any other information you choose to include in your message
If you use the concrete volume calculator, we may also collect the dimensions and pour type you enter. Those figures are used to produce an estimate and to pass alongside your enquiry; they are not used for any other purpose.
We also collect limited technical data automatically when you visit the website, such as your IP address, browser type and pages viewed, through standard website analytics. This is used to understand how the website is used and is not linked to your enquiry unless you submit one.
How we use your personal data
We use your personal data to:
- Understand what concrete you need and where
- Pass your enquiry to one approved supplier operating in your area, so they can contact you to confirm the mix, the volume and the delivery window
- Respond to any question you send us directly
- Maintain the security and performance of the website
Our legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the basis that it is necessary to take steps you have requested, at your request, before we or a third party can provide the service you have asked about (legitimate interest and, where a contract results, contractual necessity), and, for website analytics, on the basis of legitimate interest in understanding and improving how the website is used.
Sharing your personal data with approved suppliers
When you submit an enquiry, we share the details you provide with one approved concrete supplier operating in the area you specify, so that they can contact you directly. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share your details with multiple suppliers at once.
Each approved supplier is an independent business and is responsible for how it handles your personal data once your enquiry has been passed to it. Any quotation, delivery arrangement or payment you agree is a matter between you and that supplier, and their own privacy notice, where they provide one, applies to what happens after that point.
How long we keep personal data
We keep enquiry data for as long as is reasonably necessary to handle your enquiry and to deal with any related query, and no longer than is necessary for that purpose. Technical and analytics data is retained in line with the standard retention periods of the tools we use.
Cookies
The website may use cookies or similar technologies to support core functionality and to measure how the website is used. Where a separate cookie notice or preference tool is presented on the website, that notice takes precedence over this section for cookie-specific detail.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us:
- What personal data we hold about you, and to receive a copy of it
- To correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete
- To delete personal data we hold about you, in certain circumstances
- To restrict or object to how we use your personal data, in certain circumstances
- To receive certain personal data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@kentreadymix.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Keeping your data secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal data submitted through this website against loss, misuse or unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
