About Kent Readymix

Kent Readymix gives you one point of contact for ready-mix concrete across Kent and Medway. Describe your pour once, and we pass the detail to a single approved supplier who confirms the mix, the volume and the delivery window with you directly.

What Kent Readymix does

Kent Readymix is not a concrete producer. We are the route between you and the approved suppliers who batch and deliver ready-mix concrete across Kent and Medway. You send us the detail of your pour once, rather than ringing round several yards separately, and that detail goes to one approved supplier working in your part of the county. Your quotation, delivery and payment are agreed directly with the supplier appointed to your pour.

Why we work through approved suppliers

Concrete is ordered by designation under BS 8500, the British Standard that sets out mixes such as GEN3 for general use, PAV1 for paving, and the FND range for aggressive ground. Which designation a pour needs depends on what it is carrying, the ground it sits in, and whether it is reinforced, and getting it right is the difference between a pour that lasts and one that does not.

We think that knowing what to ask for, and asking for it in the right terms, is worth more to a customer than any single supplier relationship. That is the approach behind Kent Readymix: we take the detail of your pour, work out with you what it actually needs, and pass it to an approved supplier equipped to confirm it. We do not warrant any supplier’s certification or insurance position (see our Disclaimer), but we do take the trouble to describe your pour accurately so the right questions get asked before the concrete is batched.

How an enquiry works

Tell us what you are pouring, roughly how much, and how a vehicle would reach the site: the approach width, anything overhead, and where a lorry, pump or mini-mix vehicle could stand. That detail goes to one approved supplier working in your area, who comes back to you directly on the mix, the volume and the delivery window. Nothing about the process commits you to anything before you have spoken to the supplier and agreed a quotation with them.
