Concrete driveways in Ashford

Most Ashford driveway concrete goes onto plots that are new or nearly new. On the southern and western edges that means the drive to a recently completed house, a widened drive on an estate that is a few years old, or a hardstanding added where a second vehicle has arrived.

The commercial version is a different order of magnitude. Around Sevington and Waterbrook the equivalent pour is an external hardstanding or loading apron taking articulated traffic, which is a designed element rather than a domestic depth, and the designation comes off the drawing.

The second question is what the vehicle is standing on. Where a plot is still part way through its works, the running surface may take a car and not a fully loaded lorry, and a rutted verge outside a finished house is a bad start to a new drive. Both are worth settling before the load is batched, because they decide between a chute, a barrow run and a pump.
